01

CORE COMMITMENT

How we handle data

Aurora Remote lets you connect from your iPhone to a Mac you choose. Remote video, audio, and control data travel between your device and the target Mac. We do not operate cloud servers that relay or store this content.

02

DATA SCOPE

Information we process

Remote video and audioProcessed in real time between your devices
Remote video and audio are used only to present your remote session on your device. The app does not upload this content to us and does not actively record or retain it.
Accounts and passwordsYou decide whether to store them in Keychain
If you enable “Allow device password saving,” credentials are stored per device in iOS Keychain. Turning it off removes credentials managed by the app from Keychain. We cannot read the contents of your Keychain.
Devices and preferencesYour Mac list and settings stay on this device
The app stores the Mac names, addresses, ports, favorite status, and display preferences you add locally for faster reconnection. Local network discovery results are used only to show nearby Screen Sharing services.
Purchase recordsSubscriptions and one-time purchases use Apple StoreKit
Apple processes payments. The app receives only product and entitlement status from StoreKit to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your complete payment card information.

03

PURPOSE

How information is used

This information is used only to establish and maintain remote sessions, discover devices on your local network, remember connection preferences, restore purchases, and keep the app reliable.

  • Keyboard, touch, and mouse input is sent to the Mac you explicitly connect to.
  • Remote clipboard text is read and displayed only during the current session and is not saved as history.
  • The app currently includes no third-party advertising SDKs and creates no cross-app behavioral profile.

04

LOCAL FIRST

Storage and security

General settings are stored in the iOS app sandbox. Device passwords you choose to save are stored in iOS Keychain. Deleting the app normally removes sandbox data; Keychain records follow iOS system behavior.

Network and security notice

Standard VNC is a legacy protocol and does not provide modern transport confidentiality. Use it only on a trusted local network, peer-to-peer tunnel, or VPN. Never expose it directly to the public internet.

05

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Purchases and system capabilities

Pro subscriptions, one-time purchases, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple StoreKit and the App Store and are subject to Apple's privacy policy. The app also requests Local Network access to discover and connect to Mac Screen Sharing services on your network.

06

YOUR CONTROL

Your choices

You can delete saved Macs, turn off password saving, revoke Local Network access, or delete app data through iOS at any time. Features that depend on a permission may stop working after it is disabled.
